A wealth of information and insight is contained in this data base. For the first time, hospitals can ascertain with confidence where they are relative to other comparable hospitals, and understand what would be required to either maintain their positions or improve their positions relative to those other hospitals.  PDS is a legal way for hospitals to view paid claims data while maintaining full compliance with Federal anti-trust regulations.
